The Car Heaven program was created to clear the roads of older, high-polluting vehicles by recycling them responsibly and making way for a cleaner environment. By bringing an eligible, older car to a GM dealer or retailer, you receive $750* towards the purchase or lease of a new GM vehicle.

An Inspired Relationship

General Motors of Canada has been working with the Clean Air Foundation as the exclusive automotive sponsor of Car Heaven, which is a testament to GM's commitment to the environment and leadership in creating environmentally friendly technologies in the automotive industry.

In their first year working together, Car Heaven received three times as much participation as it did in the previous year. GM also helped make the program available in every province as Car Heaven spread its message throughout the country.

Recent success

In 2007, Car Heaven won the Gold Award for Climate Change at the Canadian Environmental Awards and GM was presented with the Waste Minimization Award from the Recycling Council of Ontario.

GM of Canada and the Clean Air Foundation also received the Pyramid Award of Recognition from the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) for their work on Car Heaven. This is the first time the award was given to a non-governmental organization and it's a great indication of how successful this relationship has been and of how many people have taken notice.

*The $750 GM incentive certificate credit is valid towards the purchase or lease of eligible 2008 or 2009 Model Year new Pontiac, Buick, GMC or Chevrolet models. All products subject to availability. Certificate does not apply to Medium Duty Trucks. The certificate amount is inclusive of any applicable taxes.

To be eligible for this incentive, the donated vehicle must be 1995 Model Year or older, in running condition, and insured and registered for the previous consecutive six months. Customers must show proof of registration and insurance to be eligible. Customers must present the original GM incentive certificate along with the confirmation letter from the Car Heaven Call Centre at the time of purchase or lease. Certificate is only valid for the eligible individual whose name appears on certificate; certificate is not transferable. As part of the transaction, the GM dealer may request documentation from the individual whose name is on the certificate and will contact GM and/or the Clean Air Foundation to verify eligibility.

Certificate/offer expires three (3) months from the date of issue written on the certificate. Customer must take retail delivery from Dealer/Retailer stock by expiration date. Only one certificate may be redeemed per purchase/lease per eligible transaction and each certificate may be used only once. Certain other current GM/Saturn/Saab offers may not be able to be combined with this certificate. This offer may not be redeemed for cash. Void where prohibited by law.
